The 400 sq.ft. Deluxe Rooms offer an eclectic mix of classic furniture and modern amenities, each Deluxe Room provides sophisticated comforts, luxurious fittings including Italian marble bathrooms and Charleston-inspired design make the Deluxe Rooms the perfect base from which to explore Charleston. Deluxe Rooms include either a king-sized bed or two plush double beds.

The Deluxe King Balcony Rooms feature the same luxurious amenities as our standard Deluxe Room but also include a step out ‘Juliet’ balcony.

Premier Rooms

The recently redesigned Premier Rooms draw inspiration from Charleston’s traditional past and vibrant present. Sophisticated and modern, they retain formal elements found in some of the city’s grandest residences.

Warm and inviting, the rooms are outfitted in shades of soft blues and greens, offset with rich wood detailing. Mahogany four-poster beds are flanked by lounge chairs.

Premier rooms also feature an executive style desk and sizeable armoire plus are equipped with modern luxuries such as master controlled lighting and 42-inch televisions, mini fridge, plush robes and slippers, exclusive Belmond Charleston Place toiletries, daily newspaper, wireless internet.

Junior Suites

The 600 sq.ft. Junior Suites offer unparalleled style and comfort. Exquisitely furnished with a plush couch and easy chairs. Elegantly decorated in a calmingly neutral color palette, these large rooms feature an offset living area and high-tech amenities.

The 600 sq.ft. Deluxe Junior Suites offer spacious accommodations, luxurious amenities and a truly stylish design. A king bed swathed in beautiful linens takes center stage, complete with French doors that lead into a living-room parlor.

Room amenities include plush robes and slippers, exclusive Belmond Charleston Place toiletries, daily newspaper, wireless internet.

Club Level

Located on the Club Level and available by private access only, the 400 sq.ft. Club Rooms fuse contemporary comfort with the timeless glamour and heritage associated with Charleston.

Start the day with a hearty breakfast in the exclusive Club Lounge, or enjoy a decadent afternoon tea. In the evening, toast to a fabulous day in Charleston with cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and dessert.

Club guests can enjoy private concierge service, hot breakfast, afternoon tea, cocktails, snacks and desserts, daily newspaper and wireless internet.

Signature Suites from 800 sq.ft.

An alluring mix of elegance, space and sophisticated grandeur, these magnificent suites offer the ultimate in luxurious accommodations. Suite amenities include King bed (some connecting doubles available), living area including a dining table, sofa bed, wet bar and refrigerator.

Italian marble bathroom, private concierge service (Club Level suites), hot breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening beverages and snacks (Club Level suites), nightly turndown service, daily newspaper, wireless internet.

Our One Bedroom Suites feature a spacious king-bedded room. French doors lead into a beautifully appointed living area with four-person dining table and wet bar.

Supreme luxury and elegant sophistication combine in the Parlor Suites. Decadent details include a glittering crystal chandelier, an eight-person dining table, elegant furniture and two guest bedrooms. The Parlor Suites can be reserved as either a one- or two-bedroom suite and are available on Club Level and non-Club Level floors.

Located on the top floor, the Chairman’s Suite offers an enticing combination of space and privacy. Step out onto the balcony and savor the stunning views over Charleston, or soak in the luxurious marble bathroom.

Presidential Suites

Beautiful paintings, period antiques and a palette of soothing tones combine to create a powerful, yet refined ambience. Measuring approximately 1,200 square feet, there is ample space for relaxing, working or entertaining friends and family.

There is an integrated sound system throughout the suite, and a large butlers pantry. These suites connect to a Club Room via the dining area, offering the option of expanding to a two-bedroom suite.

Swimming pool

The undisputed jewel in the hotel’s crown is located on the roof top of the fourth floor. Featuring a stunning retractable glass roof, you’ll feel like you’re standing on top of the world.

It’s a Mecca for swimmers and sun-worshippers alike with a heated saltwater pool and luxurious lounge chairs on the deck. Striking ‘porthole’ windows overlook downtown Charleston. Lush plants surround the pool providing a private paradise.

A children’s splash pool and a whirlpool are also available.

Health club

The Spa at Belmond Charleston Place has been specially designed to be an oasis of calm, providing the perfect place in which to relax and unwind.

Treatments are available from: Monday – Friday 8am to 8pm; Saturday – Sunday 8am to 7pm.

Business centre

The hi-tech business centre is fully equipped to offer every service you could possibly need. Think of it as your own out-of-office personal assistant. We offer a full suite of services, including photocopying, shipping, design, computer and word-processing, binding and finishing, plus invitations and announcements.
Opens Monday-Friday: 7:30am-5:30pm & Saturday-Sunday: 8am-12pm.

The shops

From Godiva to Gucci, The Shops at Belmond Charleston Place are an exclusive collection of world-famous stores nestled in the heart of Charleston’s downtown shopping district.
Opening hours Monday-Wednesday: 10am-6pm, Thursday-Saturday: 10am-8pm, Sunday: 12pm-5pm. White House / Black Market, Chico’s, Soma Intimates and the Orient-Express Boutique have extended hours. Monday-Saturday: 10am-9pm.


Charleston Grill – World class jazz music meets mouth-watering cuisine. A wide range of innovative cuisine awaits. Creations include seared flounder with buttery grits and shrimp, sherry-country ham gravy, and tomato-basil salad or grilled peach salad with country ham and candied pecans. No wonder it boasts the prestigious AAA Four Diamond Award for food excellence.
Open: 5:30 – 10pm, Bar opens at 5pm.

The Palmetto Cafe features giant glass windows which bring the outside inside in this dramatic garden-style setting. Dine al fresco in the lush courtyard. The Palmetto Cafe combines the very best of American Lowcountry cuisine with the freshest ingredients, from breakfast through to a long, lazy lunch.
Breakfast: 6:30am – 10:30am, Lunch: 11:30am – 3pm, Brunch: Saturday 9am – 11:30am, Sunday 9am – 1:30pm, Lunch Buffet: Saturday 12pm – 3pm.

The Thoroughbred Club offers an extensive menu of beverages and a tempting selection of tapas, appetizers and desserts, all accompanied by the finest live music.
Cocktails, tapas/appetizers and desserts served 4pm – 11pm, seven days a week. Live entertainment runs 4pm – 11pm Monday to Saturday, and 5pm – 10pm on Sunday.

Dining or entertaining in the privacy of your room or at The Spa is just a phone call away. the hotel offers 24-hour room service including catering private parties in your suite or they can pack picnic lunches for off-site excursions.
